The engine fault light of the 2012 BMW X5 is on
Engine description: N55B30A L6 306PS direct injection gasoline engine
Transmission description: manual automatic transmission (8AT)
Chassis: E70
Fault phenomenon: weak acceleration, engine shaking, accompanied by sharp abnormal noise, instrument fault light, display screen shows that the engine is abnormal and will no longer provide full power
Computer diagnosis: Report fault 2D5A (adjustable camshaft control device, intake: control fault, stuck camshaft)
Inspection process:
This fault requires the following components/function faults to be eliminated:
- Is the oil level too low?
- Is the camshaft sensor working properly?
- VANOS intake solenoid valve
During system testing, it was found that the VANOS intake solenoid valve was stuck. After cleaning and testing, it worked normally. The loading fault was perfectly solved
