The battery warning light on the dashboard of a BMW MINI is on

A: The regulator of this car is the engine computer. Only two wires are connected to the generator, one of which is a thick wire connected to the positive pole of the battery through a 150-200A fuse; the other thin one is the Lin wire, which is connected to the engine computer. The thick wire will also branch out to connect a 10A fuse, which is connected to the current sensor through the fuse, and connected to the engine computer through the sensor. If the thin Lin wire is disconnected, the vehicle will enter the fault mode, and the generator should generate electricity. If it generates electricity, then the problem lies in the Lin wire or the computer, otherwise the generator itself is damaged.
