Mercedes-Benz vehicles sometimes cannot be networked via SAP V4 module
Complaint: Sometimes it is not possible to network via SAP V4 module.
Complaint occurs in combination with Rear Seat Entertainment (code 864).
Cause:Software version of Cockpit Management and Data System and Networking (COMAND Online) (A40/3) and Rear Seat Entertainment (A26/18).
Remedy:As a temporary solution, the SAP V4 module can be inserted into the contact plate and then reconnected.
The access data must then be re-entered (see Owner’s Manual).
Perform a software update for Cockpit Management and Data System COMAND (A40/3) and Rear Seat Entertainment (A26/18). After the update, the software number for the cockpit management and data system and networking functions (COMAND Online) (A40/3) is E229.7 (17/12.05, code 807) or E228.7 (17/12.04, code 805/806) or the software number for the rear entertainment system (A26/18) is E228.7 (17/16.03). The solution is included with the Regio DVD version 07/17.
