Description of BYD Song Plus EV
The battery capacity is 71.7 kWh . It uses a lithium-iron-phosphate battery built using proprietary BYD Blade technology. When fully charged, according to the manufacturer, a maximum cruising range of 505 km (according to the NEDC cycle) is provided. The car has two connectors for DC fast charging and AC slow charging.
The electric motor in the minimum configuration develops a power of 183 hp. ( 135 kW ), which allows you to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in 4.4 seconds. The car uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor.
The car is produced in the body of a crossover and has the following overall dimensions:
- wheelbase – 2765 mm;
- length – 4705 mm;
- width – 1890 mm;
- height – 1680 mm;
- wheel size – 235/50 R19.
Front suspension – MacPherson type, rear suspension – multi-link independent. Brakes – disc front and rear with braking energy recovery function.
The BYD Song Plus EV is built on the same platform as the BYD Tang. The design of the electric car was created under the direction of Wolfgang Egger, who previously worked as a chief designer at Alfa Romeo and Audi.
The car is equipped as standard with:
