The computer reported a fire and a low-pressure fuel pump-related fault. However, the master had more than ten years of experience in BMW 4S stores and decisively chose to replace the low-pressure fuel pump and the fuel pump module plus the fuel filter first. Because according to experience, if one of the two is replaced, the other will report a fault again later, so they were simply replaced together.
First, unplug the fuel pump fuse in the trunk. Replacement steps: Remove the rear seats. On the right side of the car, remove the cover to see the fuel pump. The clips of the two pipes of the fuel pump are different, and they cannot be installed the other way around. Unplug the two plugs and use professional tools to remove them. The fuel pump is fixed. Lift the clip upwards and the fuel pump can be taken out. When installing, align the position and then press the clip down. After installation, remove the fuel pump module, take it out from under the right backrest and replace it. After normal replacement, programming is required. This model does not need it.
